Business Analyst - Clinical

Job Summary

This position is responsible for serving as business/technology intermediary working with IT teams and business users to collect, clarify, and translate business documents into documentation and conceptual design from which applications and solutions are developed and deployed. The Business Analyst Clinical is an active thought partner among the Clinical Development business community, leveraging and extending core capabilities to drive enhanced productivity across the enterprise. Primary systems environment includes Argus, InForm, Oracle (Siebel) CTMS, Oracle CDA.

Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job

* Consults with business users to understand, interpret, and craft requirements into executable business improvement implementation initiatives.
* Facilitates initiative activities including process/data mapping, functional/user requirements documents, and development of test scripts.
* Participates in major initiatives as change management lead, ensuring socialization, readiness, and adoption of implementation solutions.
* Coordinates the project resources with applicable business and technology management to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Analyzes, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specifications.
* Participates in the development of user training modes to facilitate application administration and end-user operations.
* Partners with business partners to conduct user acceptance testing.
* Responsible for ongoing process improvement identification across business departments and within IT.

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related disciplines
* Experience with business analysis activities, including heavy user interaction and delivering value to end users through implementation of new technologies.
* Experience with special projects including large-scale deployments of new technologies, and identifying resulting triage and support requirements.
* Experience with primary business processes including one or more of clinical operations, portfolio planning, project management and execution, finance integration.
* Experience with change management responsibilities including socialization, awareness, and adoption.
* Experience with guiding users through various levels of testing, including ultimate user acceptance testing (UAT).
* Experience with hands-on client training across full array of supported environments.
* Experience with process control, technical documentation & compliance procedures.
* 5-10 years of IT and/or business consulting experience.
